Indian Flag Hoisting on Scratch by Sanchit Chirkute

Updated: May 1, 2023

In this blog, we will create an animation for hoisting the flag on the Red Fort and when the flag will be reached to the top this animation will start a national anthem.

This Project is made and written by Sanchit Chirkute of Grade 3 From The Kalyani School, Pune. For creating this animation we will write the code on scratch. You can click on the below green flag icon to see the preview and read the complete blog to make your own.

We will make this animation by dividing the task into the two-part:

  1. Stage Decoration: First we'll decorate the stage by adding the required sprite and by changing the backdrop

  2. Coding: And after decorating the stage we will write the code to make the animation by connecting the blocks to each other.

Stage Decoration

  • Step:1 Add the flag Sprite

Note Keep the red color strip sprite above the flag. The flag should be placed about the y of -120 and x of 77. Get national anthem and background and patriot from google, and flag costumes you will have to draw it from your own.
